I bring you greetings from the home of the Mighty Panthers. I am a 16 year veteran teacher here at this institution of learning. I am a 1999 graduate of Joseph Franklin Shields. I earned a BS Degree from  Alabama State University in 2004 in Elementary Education. I continued my education at The University of West Alabama in 2009, with a Masters Degree in the same concentration.   I am honored to have 5th and 6th graders as my students. My motto in education is simple, "Teach like you're teaching your own child." Here at J.F.Shields, we are all on the same journey, seeking the same destination...and that is to prepare our students by reaching and teaching them to the best of our ability.
